At Skyfire, Interns work on real projects to get firsthand experience in developing and marketing a mobile browser that exceeds consumers’ expectations. You’ll contribute directly to our engineering, product and marketing milestones and successes. It’s a fantastic opportunity to see how a leading edge tech company works to deliver great consumer products. We have both technical and non-technical internship tracks.
Marketing and Business Development Internships
Our non-technical internship program encompasses marketing, product management, business development and customer relationship management functions. The range of programs you could be involved in and driving include: create customer acquisition programs, investigate and dig deep into distribution models, create web applications, research product features, and prototype user behavior – all while learning creative techniques of a startup business environment.
Technical Internships
In the technical track, areas of possible opportunities include front end web development, Mozilla/Firefox customization, server-side development and mobile software development on Windows Mobile, Symbian and J2ME operating systems. The candidate will contribute to the design, development and testing of select subsystems within our service infrastructure, participate in architectural discussions and work in a fast paced collaborative environment with the development team. This is an excellent opportunity to learn modern software development processes and nuances of a high availability fault tolerant software service architecture.
The specific skills and requirements for the technical internship tracks are:
Internships are a minimum of 12 weeks, giving the Intern enough time to complete a significant assignment and learn something new and marketable. All internships are at our Mountain View, CA headquarters, right on Castro Street with easy access to CalTrain and light rail.
